Visiting anglers to Foxford, Philippe Knech and friend David Reinhard from Switzerland, had a good day’s pike fishing with local guide Kenny Sloan. Catching a wild Irish pike on fly was the agenda for the anglers.
After numerous pike caught, it was Philippe who had the pike of his lifetime at 1m long and just under 20lbs. It made the trip to Ireland worthwhile as this was his biggest on fly rod.
Philipp and friend hope to return next year to try again for another monster Irish pike.
