Reports of good pollack fishing on the fly continue to come in from Cork Harbour. Eire Bass guide Richie Ryan says that while the pollack on the fly has been excellent , a nice few cod also fell to the method as a bonus.

In fact a 9 lb whopper was landed on board Sea Hawk recently. Initially the guide thought that client Tim Murrell was stuck fast in the bottom, but the rod tip told a different story. The fly rod was bent over double into the water. A long battle ensued with the cod fighting all the way to the net.
It was our largest cod ever on a fly rod says Richie. Well done Tim !
