Michael Flanagan reports that the hatches should start to pick up on Owel…
Now with water temperatures finally starting to warm up after the lovely weekend, we will certainly see some fly activity on our Lakes. Its early days, but last weekend I spotted a few fish surface feeding on Owel in calm conditions late in the evening.

The boats are starting to trickle in at Tullaghan and last Sunday Lough Owel club member Shay Cash put in his in for the coming season. Shay decided to wet a line for the first time on Owel this season and was rewarded with a lovely fish pushing 2lbs. Shay never fails to shine on Owel on the competition scene, and is looking forward to the 2015 season.
