Michael Flanagan from Midland Angling reports on some great pike fishing in the Midlands…
It’s becoming a very small world these days on the angling scene with facebook, social media and all that stuff. I was contacted last week by Steve Nolan from Kansan who was traveling across Ireland with his wife Kathryn. We managed to get them to venture to Mullingar, and spend a few days fishing our local lakes.
Steve is based in Fort Leaveworth Combined Arms Forces Center, and Kathryn is on a break from school teaching. It was not their first trip to Ireland, but never dropped into Westmeath. Well the rest is history, as Steve and Kathryn was over the moon with their few days in Mullingar.
I will be keeping in with the Nolan Clan from Kansas, and you can be sure they will be back in the capital of the Midlands.
