It’s back to the cooler weather again on Delphi where David McEvoy reports:
Well the beautiful weather has finally departed and we are back to our more normal weather patterns of Atlantic depressions for the moment anyway. With water levels having dropped to 10 by Thursday, fishing was difficult but it must be said that our Swedish party headed by Hasse Dehlin tried hard all week.
Lisa Engberg was once again top rod when she landed a beautiful fish of approx. 11lbs off Finlough on a Delphi Collie. It must be said that she was ably assisted by her partner Nils who netted her fish. Once again well done to Lisa for showing up the men in her party.
Some rain finally arrived on Thursday night and the river rose slightly, but we had heavy rain on Friday night and showers and rain through Saturday and Saturday night, with 41mms falling over the two days. As a result the river was running at 65 this morning, which should bode well for an experienced German party, as the forecast for the week is mixed.
There was already one fish lost this morning and a few more seen, so hopefully there should be a few fish landed before the week is out.
