Lindsey Clarke reports from LOUGH MELVIN – Monday 4th to Sunday 10th July 2016.
Lough Melvin seemed to remain sombre and brooding this week! Strong winds remained a problem at times. There was no great angling effort and the lough was fairly quiet. There were a few grilse caught trolling but few rods fished for the same. Trout fishing was very variable. Some days, decent catches were recorded and on other days, anglers reported that the trout fishing was very hard with fish very hard to tempt!
