Carrigaholt…

Carrigaholt skipper Luke Aston provided some good fishing for his clients this week even though the weather was very variable.

A party of 6 joined him on Saturday for two days fishing.  The conditions weren’t great and although they tried for tope only one was caught. Sunday made up for it, with plenty of fish on the deep reefs.

Today, Thursday was a great day for fishing.  Lots of fish on the deep reefs and a good range. Some fine Spurdogs and a big lump of a Haddock

Kilkee…

Sean McGuire found the weather a bit fresh too on Saturday, so after a journey to the Loop where they got some mackerel they headed back up the estuary and anchored, and it turned out a nice sunny and very enjoyable day.

Sunday calmed off nicely and turned out a lovely day at sea, with very good fishing.  On Tuesday they had a bit of fun in the morning with the “catch and release” of some fine spurdogs before they moved off.

Go fishing…
