The Daingean stretches of the grand canal once again produced some great weights for this annual memorial match run by Prosperous Angling Club. This is a 2 Day event and heavy rain and strong winds made day one a lot harder than normal with 5kg winning the day. Day two was fine and  overcast and produced the goods for the winners with several double figure weights coming from three different sections. The Millenium section gave Brian Kane the day win with 12 kg whilst Julian Kendrick took second place from the bumpy road section with 10 kg.
