Kevin Lyons reports on the catches of a group of French pike anglers who stayed at Melview Lodge last week…
Sylvain along with friends Franck, Cyrille and Patrick from France had a great weeks Pike fishing at Melview Fishing Lodge in Longford.
The first day produced mainly smaller pike but as the week went on and the days became more overcast the fishing just got better for them, using both soft and hard lures they managed some great pike.
The week was finished off with a beautiful trout for Cyrille taken on a soft lure. It was the guys first time to Melview Fishing Lodge but one I’m sure they will not forget anytime soon. Along with the fish caught they lost a few very good fish before they could get them in the net and into the boat, well done lads and thanks for the great company and we hope to see you again in Ireland next year.
All fish returned unharmed.
