The Garavogue River produced a number of salmon over the past two weeks. The best of the fishing was around Kelly’s Bridge with most fish weighing between 5 lbs. and 8 lbs. Successful angling methods included worm, shrimp and spinner. Amongst the successful anglers were Basil Harte with two salmon at 5 lbs. & 8lbs., Colm O’Rourke, Ben Carvasso & Zack Gettins who all had a 5 lbs. fish.
On Lough Gill, Sligo angler, Keith Trotter, had an eight pounder on the troll.
