Frank Maunsell from the Owenmore Fishery reports:

23 August: We had a lot of rain early Wednesday morning which brought the river back up to its peak . From 10 a.m. we had terrific fishing. We had some good seatrout caught and one man had a grisle and a salmon in one pool. All fish released.

Life jackets

There are people arriving to fish the lakes ill prepared. Nobody will be allowed on the boats with a wading suit and they must have their own proper flotation device. Fishing is for pleasure and not to be preparing for funerals.

The water is at the perfect level at the moment for fishing. The tides are perfect, Tight lines.
