Templemore and District Anglers report on their Walker Cup fished on Town Lake….

19 May: Today we held our first coarse match of the year on the town park lake for the Walker Cup.
There was a great turn out of 22 anglers with some of the best fishermen in the country on show. Anglers had travelled from far and wide to participate. There were some lovely bags of fish caught even though our lake really fishes best from June onward.

Damien Maddock won 1st Prize
  1. Damien Maddock 19lbs 10oz
  2. Garry Doyle 16lbs 14oz
  3. Garry Leech 12lbs 7oz

We would like to thank and say well done to everyone who took part.
Also we would like to thank everyone who gave a hand out with the cleaning of the swims and stands over the last few weeks the lake was in Tip top condition today. Watch our page for upcoming matches.

Some lovely fish were caught in the Walker Cup competition
