Aidan Traynor has been in touch with a report on the Connacht Predator Anglers Pike and Perch competition held on the River Shannon last Sunday the14th April.

We held our Pike and Perch competition on the River Shannon on Sunday – despite the terrible weather we had a successful day with well over  30 fish caught and safely released again.

1st place went to Krzysztof Rosiak and Marcin Rokitowski, in 2nd place were Aidan Traynor and Evaldas Gusarovas, and in 3rd place Chris Guilfoyle, Derek Weir and Robbie Lawlor with their boat also having the biggest pike of the day – congratulations lads! 👍

Big thanks to Damien Culliney for sponsoring a great prize of a day’s guiding on Lough Derg with full B&B and an evening meal for the winners.

Most importantly thank you to all the anglers that braved the weather lads, fair play 👍

No monster but a nice pike all the same, quickly measured then released to grow bigger. #cprsavesfish
