Monday 22nd to Sunday 28th July 2019.
We received a big flood on Monday (0.54m) which failed to drop to any great degree as the day progressed despite a number of rods patiently waiting to see if they would fish. Thereafter the river steadily fell throughout the week to low levels and by Sunday, the gauge was only reading 0.09 metres. The gauge average for the week read 0.19 metres.
The fishery was not particularly busy with only 11 visiting rods in attendance and only 2 fishing in the lovely conditions (0.26m) on Tuesday, the day after the big flood. On this day, Alan Watson recorded a 3lb grilse caught & released on a fly from beat 8.
On Thursday, John Ward reported a 5lb grilse caught & released on a spinner from beat 3.
