The lads from Boyne Valley Fishing Guides were in contact recently to let us know that they have been doing a bit of fishing recently on Lough Sheelin. They report that fishing has been tough over the last while but there were small windows of opportunity on some of the days.
Despite the tough going there were some successes including two beautiful trout which weighed in at 3.75lbs and 6lbs respectively. All of fish were carefully released unharmed back to the lake.
Water levels were reported to have dropped and hopefully temperatures will start to rise again as we draw closer to mayfly time.
