Newbridge District Pike Anglers make up for lost time with marathon session

Well we finally managed to get back to what we love after nearly 4 months away from competitions so we decided to make up for lost time by fishing for 30 hrs and had 2 competitions within this 30 hrs so our 1st comp on day 1 was from 12 noon Saturday to 12 midnight and Day 2 was from midnight to 4pm Sunday making this 30hrs in total and what a great weekend it was with great banter and craic as always. We had 21 members make this trip and in total we had 154 pike caught and released over the weekend with some super bags produced by some members. I would also like to thank all members who made the trip so full results are as follows:

1st Eugene Mc Cabe 8.5 hf 32.3 bag

2nd Dave Murphy 4.14hf 42.6 bag

3rd Dan O’Reilly 7.12 hf 36.3 bag
