A wrecking trip planned to target conger from the offshore wrecks had to be cancelled due to the strong southwesterly winds, rather than cancel they said that they’d take their chances with a trip inshore to target Common Skate.
Aidan O’Hallrahan landed the first after a great fight lasting 45 minutes, the skate put up a super fight in shallow water diving several times.
Details: Male, length 1.70 m & wingspan 1.25 m, tagged and released.
