Arva
(including Lough Gowna village)
Lough Gowna, (Many stretches) Hollybank
Lake Very good general coarse fishing and competition stretches on many of the stretches of Lough Gowna. Very popular annual festival held every September. All angling methods work here.
Killeshandra
Town Lake, Tullyguide Lake, Lough Oughter (Eonish)
Very good general coarse fishing and good competition stretches on the many developed lakes which have good access and some stands. Many festivals held annually including the King of Clubs competition.
Cavan
Lough Oughter – at Killykeen, Rann, Innisconnell and Innismuck. Sally’s Lake, Lough Inchin, River Annalee
Very good general coarse fishing and competition stretches in the Lough Oughter complex of lakes and rivers. Many festivals held annually including the UK King of Clubs. There is some good carp in Sally’s Lake in Killykeen forest park.
Belturbet
(including Redhills)
River Erne at Belturbet and Baker’s Bridge, Putiaghan Lake, Bun lake, Derryvoney Lake, Shannon Erne Waterway
Very good general coarse fishing and competition stretches on the river and lake. Excellent annual festival held here. Good information on productive swims available from local tackle shop. Very good tench & general fishing below the town and in Putiaghan and Bun lake. There are stands on these lakes.
Ballyconnell

Shannon Erne Waterway, Killywilly Lake, Blackley Lake, Derrycassan Lake, Coologue Lake
Very good general coarse fishing on nearby lakes and on the Shannon Erne waterway. Boats available for hire to find some of the best inaccessible swims along the system.
Cootehill
Gulladoo Lake, Cullies Lake, Tully Lake Dromore River and lakes, Killyvahan Lake, Drumlona Lake, Annamakerrig Lake, Lisnalong Lake.
Very good general coarse fishing and competition stretches with excellent annual festival held here. Huge network of developed lakes offering a wide variety of fishing for bream, hybrids and roach. Good information on productive swims available from the tackle shop in the area.
Virgina
Lough Ramor, Lisgrey Lake, Lackan Lake (Nadreegeel Lake)
Lough Ramor – excellent coarse fishery (800 hectares) for big hybrids, roach and bream in particular. Notable venues on this lake: Virginia, Coronagh, Knocknagartan, Foxes Point and Nine-eyed bridge. Boat hire available. Specimen bream in Lisgrey Lake. Good roach at Lackan Lake. Best methods include feeder, pole and waggler fishing.
Bailieboro
Castle Lake, Skeagh Lake, Drumkeery Lake, Galloncurra Lake
Good general coarse fishing with some specimen fish particularly hybrids caught mainly at night in summer at Galloncurra Lake. Disabled stand on Castle Lake. There are angling stands on some lakes. Best methods include feeder, pole and waggler fishing.
