16th Aprill 2021: We have had a run of seatrout in the last flood with the odd one trickling up river in the low water. A local man decided to chance the White Lake and against all the odds had two trout one almost 2 lbs. A man from Tralee fished the day before had numerous brownies and one seatrout about a lb.

There are approximately five miles of fly fishing along the main part of the Owenmore River in Kerry, with 33 named pools and an additional 180 acres of lake fishing in this Kerry beauty spot. The salmon, grilse and sea trout begin to run in April. The runs continue through spring and summer into early October.
