Lack of wind hampers trout fishing on Arrow

Juvenile anglers Keelan & Lochlann Ward with a nice Arrow trout

Calm and sunny conditions hamper lough fishing all around the country these days. This is not much different on Lough Arrow where generally a good wave is needed at this time of the year for good wet fly fishing. However, juvenile anglers, Keelan Ward aged ten and his brother Lochlann aged 5 from Lough Arrow Angling Club enjoyed a great day out when fishing with their father James last Sunday catching a nice 2.6 lbs. Arrow trout.

With some more unsettled weather forecast for the coming days, trout anglers around the lake are hopeful to yet enjoy some end of season wet fly fishing action.
