David Norman of West Cork Bass guided his client, Nigel Larke, to a pair of firsts during their recent Saltwater Fly Workshop together. Killing two birds with the one stone, Nigel managed to land his first bass – which was also caught on the fly.
Most bass anglers catch their firsts on bait or lure and only a small percentage are ever inclined to go after them with a fly rod but Nigel, who is an experienced trout angler, wanted to transfer his fly skills to the salt and it was great for David to be a part of his early success…
