The Leinster Pike Anglers got their winter league off to a good start last week as 26 anglers lined out on a river venue for the first match of the season. Fishing conditions were good, but the fishing was patchy, with some locations proving to be on fire, while other spots did not produce as well. The lucky anglers who topped the table managed to record very impressive bags on the day.

1st Rodney Gaynor 19 fish for a whopping 71’08
2nd Luke Ó Ciaráin 22 fish for another cracking bag 69’05
3rd Anthony Byrne 13 fish for a respectable 43’11
