Peadar O’Brien of Irish Pike Fishing Guides welcomed his Belgian guests over to the Carrickmacross area for their annual piking visit. Peadar always has good craic with the ‘crazy gang’ but wasn’t expecting the fishing to be too much fun this time around due to very high water levels.
Things didn’t turn out too badly though – they somehow managed to land over thirty pike during their trip, with many more hook-ups and missed fish. Peadar reckons it will take him a while to recover but is already looking forward to next year!
