Despite torrential rain in some areas around the country over the last week, water levels have continued their downward trajectory on the River Boyne.
There was a super fish landed on the river last week at the Ramparts. It was estimated to be around 18lbs. The salmon was a resident male fish that fell to a fly being fished by Noel Rafferty from Dublin. Well done Noel!
In addition to Noels’ super fish there were 5 salmon caught on the river on Saturday and one further fish caught on Sunday.
