Inguss Kursitis had a fish to remember on Lough Owel last Saturday. Inguss was on the water early and was glad to see nice fishing conditions, with light winds and plenty of cloud cover. Fishing from a boat and casting a Rapala countdown lure, just as the clock ticked 8 AM he connected with what felt like a very solid take. Not long after he brought a fabulous trout to the net which measured over 75cm and tipped the scales at 5.4kg or 11.9lb. We don’t hear of fish that size from Lough Owel very often, so Inguss can be pretty proud of his extraordinary catch.
