Angling Report week ending 28/04/2024
Water levels at Ballylahan dropped to approximately 0.53m as of Sunday night 28th April.
Ballina Salmon Anglers Association recorded their first and second salmon of the season on Sunday last. Nigel Lackey had an 11 lbs salmon on the worm in the morning and later in the day Trevor Tweed caught a 12 lbs salmon also on the worm. Both were very good fish and were caught at “The Flag”.

Cloongee Fishery:
One salmon weighing 13 lbs was reported caught at Carrigeen on the worm on Sunday 28th April.
East Mayo Anglers Association:
East Mayo Anglers Association reports a total of 8 salmon for the week, 4 taken and 4 released varying in weight from 7 lbs to 10.5 lbs. Five of these fish including the best were caught on the fly and the remaining three were caught on the worm. Tuesday 23rd was the best day for angling.
