West Cork and District SAC fished an Open at Bantry airstrip on Sunday…
Bantry airstrip was the venue for Sunday’s open competition. This venue always produces some quality fish and today was no different. Some fine thornback ray, bullhuss and conger featured during the match.
Alan O’Dowling and JP Molloy had a good battle throughout the match but it was to be JP’s day, winning with a fantastic card of 22 dogfish just beating Alan who ended up with 21 fish which consisted of 20 dogfish and a ray. Well done JP.
Third place went to David Keating with 13 fish. David also won both the round fish pool with a conger of 99cm and the flat fish pool with a thornback ray of 78cm. Today’s pools was worth €90 per fish well worth the trip up from Waterford David.
Go fishing…
Our next outing will be in Caliso bay in August, we look forward to this.
