Some trout reported from Loughs Conn & Cullin

We haven’t heard from Loughs Conn and Cullin for a while. However, towards the end of the season trout angling should pick up again.

Lough Conn and Cullin Anglers hosted the Josie Moffatt memorial angling competition which took place on Sunday 1^st September. Nineteen anglers participated and 4 trout were caught over 13 inches.

The results were as follows:

• 4^th place – Brian Gallagher with 1 fish weighing 0.480 kg.
• 3^rd place – Joe Quinn with 1 fish weighing 0.495 kg.
• 2^nd place – Tom Timoney with 1 fish weighing 0.675 kg.
• 1^st place – Joe Ferguson with 1 fish weighing 0.690 kg.
