Eel fishing is currently closed, due to very low stocks of eel. If the stock recovers in the future the reopening of the eel fishery may be considered.
- Bye-law No C.S. 335, 2024 prohibits taking eel, fishing for eel, or possessing or selling eel caught in any district in the State.
