Pike Angling Associations

The Irish Federation of Pike Angling Clubs
The Irish Federation of Pike Angling Clubs, (IFPAC) has a big network of pike clubs located at most the major pike angling centres. They run regular pike angling competitions at many venues nationwide. These are mainly shore competitions but some boat angling competitions on lakes and some of these are open competitions, which will welcome guests. National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland (NCFFI):
The National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland is the management body for coarse and predator anglers in the North and south of Ireland whether as a member club of individual angler. As the nominated coarse angling association by the International Angling Confederation CIPS and the Fresh Water Sport Fishing Federation FIPS-ed the NCFFI manage Team Predator to represent Ireland at Boat and Bank Fishing with Lures Championships overseas and in turn host world championships in Ireland. Tasked with spotting upcoming talent the NCFFI Predator Team is accessible to everyone. If you are not a member of an NCFFI club you can join the Predator Club as an individual.

Coarse Angling Associations

National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland (NCFFI):
The National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland is the management body for coarse and predator anglers in the North and south of Ireland whether as a member club of individual angler. The federation is responsible for a wide range of angling matters relating to coarse fishing in Ireland with particular focus on introducing the young and old alike to coarse angling, improving facilities, coaching & development, and protecting our fish stocks; involving everyone regardless of background, gender, religion, age or angling ability. As the nominated coarse angling association by the International Angling Confederation CIPS and the Fresh Water Sport Fishing Federation FIPS-ed the NCFFI manage International and European junior and senior teams who represent Ireland overseas and in turn host world championships in Ireland.

Trout Angling Associations

There are two main representative bodies for trout anglers in Ireland. The Trout Anglers Federation of Ireland (TAFI) has a large network of clubs and individual anglers. It’s aim is to develop and preserve freshwater angling, angling tourism and angling for young people. TAFI can be contacted by writing to Simon O’Meara at 178 Kirwin Park, Mountmellick, Co. Laois, Ireland.

The National Anglers Representative Association (NARA) represents game anglers in dealings with local and National Government, State Agencies and Inland Fisheries Ireland on legislation, control and development of fisheries and access.
