Kevin Lyons reports on recent pike fishing activity near his guesthouse at Melview Lodge in Longford.
Fishing in the upper Shannon area has been very good for Pike fishing the last few weeks producing fish to 25 lb, Kevin Lyons of Melview lodge Longford was out with some guests that were staying with him and managed to bank the biggest Pike of the session weighing in at 25 lb 4 oz. The fish fell to Roach dead bait fished on a running ledger. Kevin said we had been catching fish ranging from 14 lb to 18 lb. but this one just rounded the day off nicely, next week log on for some more pictures and reports on the Pike fishing when Kevin is guiding some guys from Northern Ireland.
