    There are over 40 pike lakes within the West, many of them hardly ever fished. Pike are transferred from some trout and salmon waters to a number of small pike lakes in the region.

    Good pike fishing on these smaller lakes connected with nearby Lough Corrib with some of the best fishing in the spring period. Good bank fishing and pike over 20 lbs. (9.072 Kg.) are recorded annually.
