The east coast of Ireland provides varied fishing grounds to challenge every sea angler. From the long and magnificent beaches of Counties Wicklow & Wexford, which are used regularly for local, national, and international sea angling competitions, to the many inlets, river estuaries, and offshore marks; from Carlingford to Wexford, there is something for anglers of all disciplines. The presence of some unusual tidal currents and races and the influence of the North Atlantic Drift to the south of the region produces a multitude of species for inshore and offshore anglers. In all, well over 40+ species of sea fish are on offer to the angler, ranging from tope to bass, and from cod to conger.
