04/09/12: Guests fishing with their Gillie Mr. Michael O’Sullivan of [email protected] caught 3 fine Sea Trout in the 2 to 3lbs class and with bright sunshine all day, they did well.

05/09/12: All Sea Trout headlines go to the hired out boat department of www.lakelandshouse.com and first in the striking zone was, Mr. David Pinsett, from Sydney, who caught a fine 2lbs Sea Trout with his son Hugo. They finished their day off with another fine Sea Trout in the 2lbs class. Renée from France caught 2 juniors, wind E light, with bright sunshine all day.

06/09/12: Again it’s the hired out boat department that takes the headlines, Anglers fishing out of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught 4 Sea Trout ranging from Juniors up to 1.5lbs. While at the hired out boat department of www.lakelandshouse.com Mr. David Rowan of Kildare, and Mr. Carl Owens of Dublin, caught 2 Juniors. On their evening shift, they caught 2 Sea Trout in the 2lbs class. Bright sunshine for most of the day with a very light SW wind.

07/09/12: We start off with the Celtic Sea Trout project of www.celticseatrout.com Mr. James Henderson, Director of the River Nith Fishery in Scotland and of www.river-nith.com caught a fine 4lbs Grilse on the fly, with his good friend, Dr. Paddy Gargan, of the Inland fisheries Ireland ( www.fisheriesireland.ie). Just for the record they were fishing out of www.oshealoughcurrane.com and staying with O’Shea’s of Lough Currane. Enrico from Italy, caught 3 Juniors with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com and Neil was telling me that they rose a good few Sea Trout.

Over at the hired out boat department of www.lakelandshouse.com Mr. Peter Purcell and Mr. Tim Gleeson, both caught a Junior each, and other anglers reported catching and releasing the odd Junior.

Heading down stream to the Famous Butler Pool of www.watervillegolflinks.ie an angler caught a fine Grilse.

08/09/12: Straight to the Sea Trout department, Mr. Kevin Coleman, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of [email protected] caught 2 Sea Trout of which the best was 2.5lbs, and all caught on the fly. A guest fishing with his Gillie Mr. Mike O’Dwyer, caught 3 Juniors and Mike reported to me that he saw an Angler catch a fine Sea trout in the 3lbs class, out at the Sisters.

In the hired out boat department of www.lakelandshouse.com Mr. Donie Collins and his Grandson Tadhg caught 2 fine Sea Trout in the 2.¼ lbs class and upstream to Lough Derriana and the Italian Connection, Enrico of Italy, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com was in good form with 2 Sea Trout to his rod.

Now head down stream back to Lough Currane, to the hired out boat department of www.lakelandshouse.com Mr. Peter Purcell of Dublin, caught a fine 3lbs Sea Trout with 2 Juniors and finishing his day off with a Sea Trout of 1.5lbs, was Mr. Hugh Duff, from Dublin. Wind SSW fresh, with reasonable cloud cover.

09/09/12: Straight to the Sea Trout department, Enrico, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught 1 Sea Trout to his rod, while Mr. Peter Twomey and Mr. Andy Gray, fishing with their Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of [email protected] caught 2 Sea Trout up to 2lbs. Mr. Frank Donnelly of www.lakelandshouse.com reported to me that he and his clients lost 2 good fish.

10/09/12: The Italian connection was in great form again today, yes you have it, Enrico fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught 4 Sea Trout.
