Bernard Devenney of the Dundalk Salmon Anglers reports that water conditions for Salmon fishing on the Fane have been very good during the last week. The river level has been very stable and a lot of the Salmon have been travelling on up to the top part of the system resulting in Salmon being caught as far up as Magoney, well above the village of Inniskeen.

On Dundalk Salmon anglers waters Anthony Carty of Dundalk had a fine Salmon of 16lbs and a fish of 8lbs which he returned and Brendan Rice of Dundalk had a beautiful fish of 14lbs.
