Water Height: Saturday 22nd June, water at 2 foot 6 inches on the gauge at Johnston’s running clear, beautiful water for all methods.
With the nets off angling prospects are good for the weekend and early next week..
There were a good few grilse caught during the week and this morning at Paul Connors Adam and Aron Ward twins from Tralee had a nice fresh fish of about 6 lbs.
Prospects: For the weekend are good with grilse in numbers running the river and there is also at this time the possibility of a fish of from 8 to 10 lbs. Sea trout and brown trout are also on the menu.
Trout fishing is reported as very good just now so rather than putting all your faith in the salmon rod try a trout rod and enjoy nice trout to 12 inches.
