Over the weekend, the third and fourth salmon of the season have been taken on the River Moy. Both fish were caught on Saturday the 16th, on the Ballina Salmon Anglers’ water in Ballina Town. The first of these was taken by Martin Conroy (who, only a few weeks ago caught the second salmon of the season) and weighed an impressive 13lbs (using worm). The second fish of the day, also caught using worm, fell to Nigel Lackey and weighed 11lbs.
