Angling guide Brendan O’Reilly reports that on March 2nd Jean Thiebot got married in Slane and he arranged for the wedding party to spend the day with Newgrange Active Angling guide Brendan O’Reilly. Six turned up on the Monday morning for an early start on the way to Monaghan. Anthon traveled with me and the rest followed behind. Anthon was given a small history lesson on the Battle of the Boyne, Cu Chullain and the poets of Monaghan. When we arrived at the water the wedding party in the car quickly went to Anthon to find out what we spoke about. It was a bright dry day 15 fish was caught and one of my fishing caps went to the heaviest fish when we arrived back to Newgrange Lodge where they were staying.
