Pike angler Bert Mullrick from Cologne, Germany visited Foxford Co. Mayo to try for one of the big Mayo pike. Teaming up with Salmon/Pike guide Kenny Sloan he fished several lakes in the area.
Weather conditions were rough at times but Bert managed 14 pike. The biggest of these were 96 cm, 94cm, 92cm, 90cm and many other lively pike. Roach deadbaits and lures accounted for many of the pike.
Bert tells us he will be returning in May in the hope of catching the big one.
