As of Monday 11th August water level up ever so slightly to under 6 inches on the gauge at Johnston’s. This slight rise is not enough to bring any improvement to the fishing. News of fish during the last week was very scarce. But with the nets off over the weekend there may be a chance of a fish today or tomorrow. Despite the low warter a few salmon and sea trout are reported to be running.
Being the Laune it is still fly fishable in many places…
…UPDATE… chairman Stewart Stephens landed a nice fish of 7 lbs with long tailed sea lice at Gorry this morning (12/08).
