Reports from anglers shore fishing this week have been mixed with poor fishing reported from Cliffony , Mullaghmore and Rossnowlagh and good Flounder and Seatrout up to 50 cm which is about 3.5lb from Mermaids cove , Tullan strand and Moneygold . Along with the sand fishing a few anglers casted a line from one of the rock marks at Magheracar known as the quarry flag and were rewarded with a nice Codling of about 2lb and some good Bollan Wrasse .
This weeks seems to be certainly ticking all the boxes of Summer . At the time of writing there is a crane in Mullaghmore harbour lifting the Boats back into the water to enjoy another season and later in the week local Bundoran skipper Patrick O Doherty will launch the Bundoran Star back into the pier in Bundoran just in time for this years first boat competition of the season . This comp will take place as always on Good Friday and is held between the two local clubs in Mullaghmore and Bundoran with the organising of the event alternating between the two clubs each year . Further details for the competition can be had from the event organizer Boris Siegel on 087 6962052 .
