Mick Flanagan from Midland Angling reports that his Italian pike fishing guests, who featured prominently in last week’s Irish Angling Update, finished out their angling holiday in great style…

What a few days pike fishing our pals from Abruzzo had here in the Midlands, and our main pic last week of Andrea Palma with a huge Ree pike rocked the Angling World [the photo of Stefano’s 24lb pike on a fly was the banner pic for last week’s Irish Angling Update – Ed.].

The lads have returned home with some fantastic memories of their angling adventure here in Westmeath, and a huge gallery of photographs to show family members, and angling pals.

Another beauty for the Azzurris

Even on the last day I fished with Andrea Palma and Simone Antonioli, we rattled the scales with some huge pike on a variety of colourful lures.
