Angling guide Pierre Monjarret is reporting some top class pike fishing on Lough Derg in recent days. Last Wednesday Pierre was out on Lough Derg to explore a new area. It was not long before he was sure he had found a sport worth coming back to. The most productive lure on the day was a X Buster natual perch.
Over the weekend the good fishing continued with some fine pike to over 100cm caught on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
On Friday Bruno Presti and Stefan Trumstedt fished with Pierre. Between them they had 4 over 90cm and 2 over 1m.
