In Kilkishen area 17 anglers were fishing a competition had a modest catch of 12 pike. the best of these was 11.2 lbs caught by John Punch.
An interclub competition on the 18th October has been organised by the Lough Graney Angling Club. This is an open competition. Teams of 6 are entered into the competition for €60 per team. There is also an optional €5 pool for the biggest Pike caught that many anglers will also take part in.
