Ken O’Neill in IFI Limerick tells us that last Saturday morning on the east Clare Lakes was a perfect morning for fishing with the family. It appears that it was a particularly good morning for pike angling, Kens says it was one of those mornings that all anglers that were met on the lakes were happy with their catches.
Sean McInerney fishing with his was seen playing a handsome jack pike to the boat. Dad helped in landing the fishnand and removiing the hooks before the fish was returned unharmed to the deeps.
Another junior angler out and about on Saturday morning was Jack Phelan, fishing with his Dad Caoimhghin , from the shoreline. Jack and Caoimhghin reported that the pike fishing is good at the moment.
