Colin Rickard was fishing with his son Callum last week. The pair were on the inner lakes on Lough Ree. During the day they had a total of of 5 pike, the largest of which was about 8lb. They had the water almost to themselves and saw only one other boat fishing that day.
The day sunny and fine and was crowned by a lovely trout which was caught by Callum on the troll for pike and safely returned after a healthy 20 minute scrap.
