Billy Downes of the Laune Salmon and Trout Anglers’ Association reports that as of Monday 21st of September the water level has now fallen back to 2m.  The past week was a write off due to extremely high water where it was not even possible to get near the river, not to mind fish.  We were looking for a rise but not 2m.  However, it is now possible to fish by all methods. The water is still high but very clear.  Most attempts at fishing over the weekend resulted in anglers not even seeing a fish so far.

Beat 3: When the water falls back below 2m this will be ideal water level for Beat 3 and fish should be met there.

Prospects:  Hoped it would be better but we live in hope that a few fresh will run into the river over the next couple of weeks.
