In the past week the Cobh guide Richie Ryan certainly had a cracker of a few days in Cork Harbour. Over a 3 day period nearly 30 bass were landed aboard his boat ” Sea Hawk “.
On one of the days he managed to hookup 6 bass more than his brother Gerard, payback for the last day they fished together the guide said ! Richie had phoned him in Clare to tell him to get to Cork as the fishing was really good. Ger didn’t need much convincing and headed down for what turned out to be a very pleasant outing.
In addition to bass , there was a great pollack on the fly session. A nice end to a closing season and a productive outing for the brothers Ryan.
