The Irish Federation of Pike angling clubs report on a great catch for angler Dennis Coyne. A superb pike tipping the scales at 33lbs 6ozs over the weekend.
Pat McDonnell from IFI has the details – Last Sunday 24th January Pallas Anglers, based in Tullamore held a pike Competition and recorded a magnificent pike weighing 33lbs 6ozs. Dennis Coyne, Tullamore was the lucky angler and managed, after releasing this superb fish caught another fish with his next cast weighing 13lbs 3ozs ! A day he will remember for quite a while.
In all 26 anglers caught 6 fish and are determined to try their luck on Pallas again on Sunday 7th February.

The Irish Federation of Pike Angling Clubs (IFPAC) is a body representing pike anglers in Ireland, North and South.The IFPAC was founded on 17th January 1988 at a meeting held at the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan. The membership for that year stood at fifteen clubs representing six hundred anglers, today membership of IFPAC is approaching 100 affiliated clubs representing in excess of seven thousand anglers from all walks of life.
