Mick Flanagan had a pretty hairy experience on the Inny last week…

It’s a lovely trip down the River Inny to Lough Iron, but last week water levels were low and I only got a few miles down river with some anglers from Dublin. The fishing was tough and we only managed to boat two small pike, and one perch. We banked the boat along the  river for lunch, and the lads got a bit of a surprise when they saw some very hairy looking cows. The lads were very witty and said that they must be Westmeath hairy mammoths.
